A bold striking purple jacket greets us from this 404 paged tome. Spanning progs 208 till 270 (62 progs worths) it covers the Mob wars, the return of Judge Death and the Apocalypse war years of 2103-2104. I I recently purchased the Kindle version of Judge Dredd The Complete Case Files 01 instead of the paper version because it was slightly cheaper and there's the instant gratification of not having to wait for shipping. I saw Dredd 3D in September of 2012 and loved it. I knew who Judge Dredd was, being an Anthrax fan in the '80s and all. Heck, I can even brag about seeing the abysmal Sylvester Stallone Judge Dredd film in the theatre.The 2012 film really grabbed me, though, so much so that I decided to do some digging to see if there were any collected editions of the character. The first story was also collected in Classic 2000 AD #1 (1995) and two other trade paperbacks: America (Fleetway, 1991, ISBN 1-85386-250-9) and The Complete America (Titan, 2003, ISBN 1-84023-615-9), which also included the second story. America and America II have not been reprinted in the series Judge Dredd: The Complete Case Files. Review
